Second Harvest food bank is funded through local and federal government programs; through individual and corporate donations, and grants.

Donated food comes from national manufacturers, regional farmers, wholesalers/distributers, retailers, community food drives and individual donors.

The food bank distributes U.S. Department of Agriculture commodities through the Emergency Food AssistanceProgram (TEFAP) under contract with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
